Write  a 1,500–1,750-word argument using five to seven academic resources that  persuades an audience to accept your explanation of the causes or  consequences of your chosen topic. Write about the cause and its  effects.

1. Choose one of these required topics

  • The organ transplant list is long which causes A, B, and C
  • An  opt-out option at the DMV would encourage more people to do an  altruistic act and donate an organ, which leads to 1, 2, and 3.
  • Increase in kidney failure leads to the need for an organ transplant, which then leads to A, B, and C.
  • If  doctors encourage lifelong healthy habits, fewer patients will have  renal (kidney) failure. Fewer patients with preventable renal failure  means 1. the organ donor list will be shorter, 2, and 3.

2. Determine the effects of the topic you chose (above)

3. Create a causal chain for your thesis statement. Be sure to have three subtopics for your thesis statement
